Teta Soup

Simple Syrian Lentil

Vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free

Teta Soup will always be a staple at Sara's Soups. (simple Syrian lentil)

This was my daughter Zoah’s favorite soup. It is simple and comforting. The recipe comes from Zoah’s Syrian grandmother Amal, who she called “Teta”. It is great for all ages and helps with constipation. It comes with spiced oil for those who want a bit of a kick.

Red lentils, onion, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, Aleppo pepper oil (EVOO, Aleppo pepper chili spice blend from Syria, red chili pepper, garlic, shallots, bay leaves, a pinch of salt and sugar)

Spice level- soup: no spice, chili oil:🌶️🌶️

Classic Chicken Noodle

Nut-free, Soy-free

Classic and comforting, nothing beats homemade chicken noodle soup. Chicken, egg noodles, flavourful slow-cooked bone broth, carrots, celery and herbs all come together to give you and your family the warm hug you need.

Chicken, slow-cooked chicken bone broth, carrots, celery, egg noodles, onion, garlic, leeks, EVOO, herbs, spices, S&P

The Sarah:
Spicy Vegan Mulligatawny

Vegan, Gluten-free, Nut-free
This soup has yummy, bold flavours. It is full of veggies, lentils, and some lovely aromatic heat from the garam masala and Kashmiri chilli. It is sweetened with a bit of apple and mellowed with coconut milk, which gives it its creamy finish. I recommend blasting some Elton John while enjoying this flavourful soup (who happens to be Sarah’s favourite artist!). So, don’t let the sun go down before you try this one!

Cauliflower, carrot, celery, onion, garlic, ginger, red lentils, apple, coconut milk, veggie broth, cinnamon bark, cardamom, cloves, Indian spice blend, cilantro, olive oil, s&p

Spice level: medium-hot (it’s not crazy spicy, don’t be afraid)

*Sarah not included 😉

The Christine
Pumpkin Thai

Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free

This soup is sweet, spicy, and unforgettable- just like her name-sake. As a former competitive dancer (and hockey columnist!) Christine knows what it takes to win - and this soup is at the top of its game! The natural sweetness of pumpkin and roasted butternut squash, is elevated with Thai spiced flavours and creamy coconut milk. If you love crisp air and “sweater weather” as much as Christine does, this cozy soup is for you!

Local roasted pumpkins, butternut squash, veggie broth, lime leaves, garlic, ginger, onion, lemongrass, organic coconut milk, Thai red curry blend, Thai basil, coconut sugar, lime, s&p
